About
Chito is best known for his leadership in the life sciences sector over a career spanning more than 30 years, including executive roles and, more recently, his passion for coaching. He has led multiple Biometrics and Data Science organizations, most recently serving as Group Vice President at BioMarin. In addition, he has built a successful management consulting business. He is Founder & CEO of Stillwave and Professor of Practice at UCSD, Herbert Wertheim School of Public Health and Human Longevity Science.
Chito’s passion for coaching emerged from a realization: while finding highly skilled technical professionals was achievable, identifying and developing strong technical leaders was far more challenging. This ongoing work inspires him and a growing community of like-minded professionals who are committed to transforming the field by cultivating the next generation of leaders.
